Dalebrook Place is a small heritage apartment building at 20 Main Road, on the St James side of Kalk Bay, directly across the road from the Dalebrook tidal pool. There are five self-catering units, each with its own kitchen and secure parking inside the complex, several with sea-facing balconies. You book with the owner, not through a booking site, so the price you see is the price you pay.

What self-catering means here
Each apartment has a full kitchen, so you can cook, or not. Chardonnay Deli is next door for coffee and pastries, the harbour restaurants are ten to fifteen minutes’ walk along Main Road, and our guide to eating in Kalk Bay covers the rest. South African residents pay R55 rather than R245 if they ask for the local rate, and the gate takes cards only (SANParks entry fees).
